Racing to Lose

Well,a sad end to the month with a winner and a lose on the day.

Uttoxeter 2.00 Bobby Gee Won 3/1 layed @ 5.9

Over the month there has been 56 hoses that I have layed, 46 of whom have lost making a strike rate of around 82%,I would have preferred it to have been about 85%.

The longest losing run(ie Winners) was 2, twice.

The longest winning run(ie losers) was 12 plus 1 of 10, plus 2 of 8.

I have made a profit each month since I started, but I must admit I'am finding it difficult to settle on a staking plan,I have narrowed it down to 2 or 3 and will let you know when a settle on one.

In the meantime I wish you all A Very Happy New Year and will be back tomorrow, and hope we can make a profitable start to 2008.

Well that hurt a bit with our first horse winning today, that made it 2 winners on the trot,a rare occurance I may say, however with the next 2 horses losing I was able to break even for the day.

With Folkestone being abandoned we were left with 3 selections.

1 out of 2 yesterday,I suppose a winner had to come along sometime, however not to much of a disaster.

The reason for the difference in s/p to layed prices is that I was out last night and had to put bets on at around 5.00pm, Fenner was trading at 5.0 which I took, Cha Cha Cha was trading at around 14.5 I left an order for 11.0 not thinking the price would come into anything like 6/1,the horse lost anyway, but its worth watching out when you can't be at you computer at the time of the race.

Only 1 meeting today at Kempton and can't find anything.

I layed Snows Ride before I went out today, I managed to get 11.0, I don't know if it went any bigger or not, my point being that 11.0 is the maximum price I will lay a horse.
